Platters & Soup

A platter of local cheeses, pate and/or organic smoked salmon served with salad, homemade chutneys and pickles, plus organic Pimhill Farm oatcakes, can be ordered for your room. Alternatively on request we are happy to put a tureen of hot homemade soup in our guest  lounge for you to help yourself to, if you choose not to go out in the evenings. These are available 7 days a week.

Dinner

An evening meal at Walford Court is a unique and intimate dining experience, with personal service for just you, or up to 6 people. As all meals are cooked especially for you from freshly picked/dug home grown ingredients or local produce purchased to order, meals must be pre-ordered, and a menu proposed and agreed. Seasonal cooking is key to ensure we provide the utmost quality and taste, so not all options shown below are available all year round.

If you would like dinner on the night of your arrival, we will propose a menu based on seasonality and availability. Some changes can be discussed to tailor the meal to your personal tastes, but with only one cook in the kitchen we cannot cater for a variety of single portions. Most main courses and some desserts must be for a minimum of two servings. If you have gluten, wheat or dairy allergies – no problem!

Once you're here we can chat about any meals you may require for subsequent nights, though it is advisable for you to advise on booking if you may want a meal for every night of your stay.

We'll serve your meals by candlelight in the dining room here at Walford Court with a little romantic music playing in the background. In the summer you can choose to eat outside, in the winter we’ll light you a fire. Please do feel free to bring your own wine, champagne! We are not licensed and do not charge corkage!

Dinners are served at 7pm, are for a minimum of 2 courses, and are available from Thursday to Saturday. The cost for a 3-course meal including mineral water, followed by tea/ coffee is just £28 per person, reducing to £22.50 for 2 courses.
